In 1991, Albion College alumni created an endowment to honor an alumnus, professor and coach, Elkin R. Isaac ‘48. Now, 35 years later, students, faculty and visitors continue to honor Isaac’s legacy through research presentations, an Honors Convocation and more.
On Thursday, Albion hosted the 35 Annual Elkin R. Isaac Student Research Symposium, sponsored by the Elkin R. Isaac Endowment.
The symposium was divided into a morning, afternoon and poster session. Both the morning and afternoon sessions were held in four separate rooms, with presentations scheduled every 15 minutes.
The morning session ran from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m., followed by a break for the Honors Convocation. The afternoon session ran from 1:15 to 4:15 p.m. Following those, researchers gathered from 4 to 5 p.m. in the science atrium for the poster session to conclude the symposium.
According to the 2025 Symposium Program, 162 students gave presentations throughout the day, with 118 participating in the poster session.
